Authenticity is Unwritten.
Society mends our hearts.
Our minds.
In movies we watch and books we read,
they try to tell us how to love someone.
Give us an example of what “true love” is really like.
But when the cameras are off and the books are closed,
the people we have learned to care for are just characters.
True love cannot be defined
but only experienced.
Maybe this is why divorce rates continue to skyrocket,
because the love we know to give is not genuine.
You have to write your own love story.
