horrid nightmares
Horrible nightmares plague my dreams
Acting out in vivid scenes
In the silence of the night
I wake up with such a fright
And as you sleep I hear you breathe
I envy you wish I could leave
The dreams that haunt me time after time
Outside the bedroom make everything fine
To scared to shut my eyes to sleep
Wish I could fall blissfully deep
In to dreamless slumber
But each night I awake to thunder
My heart feels its bursting out of my chest
Can’t cope at night I need some rest
I long for morning to feel safe and secure
Till the next night haunted and so unsure
