Oh what a day, what a day

By Lesly Mata

Oh what a day

The whistling of the wind

The soft breeze that flows through my hair

Oh what a day, what a day

Leaves dancing, birds singing

Sun rising with nothing but happiness

Jumping in piles after piles drowning myself in leaves

Oh what a day, what a day

Fireplace Burning, Blankets that wraps me in warmth

Goosebumps that shiver my hairs to a standing ovation

Only hearing the chattering of my teeth

Months of playing with leaves and singing birds

It starts to fade away slowing nature course

The soft breeze is no more only blowing his anger towards the world

Leaves disappear with no goodbyes only leaving branches and twigs

Then a smile comes on my face seeing little droplets of white rain

Hearing a scream within my ears “its snow “

Oh what a day, what a day
