Friends, Lovers & Enemies

Written by L. Carty, K. Mills, R. Thompson & S. Clarke.
Quote for this poem: Always keep your friends, always follow your heart with your lovers and always face up to your enemies.

Verse 1:
In nearly 20 years of my life
I never thought of how many words that I could say
In nearly twenty years of my life
Verse 2:
Carrying regrets is the worse thing you can do
I keep going forward and never look back
What has my life gotta do with you?
Bridge:
I look up at the sky, the rain pours on me
And I break down to cry
And don’t ask me, because I don’t
Know the answer why?
Chorus:
Now I see, my friends, lovers and enemies
What do they all see in me?
My regrets have now got me on my knees
And my mind is holding me on the edge
And I know I’m here until the end
Friends, lovers and enemies
Verse 3:
Love is a very hurtful thing
Friends come to you when you are breaking down
Enemies don’t ever want a single thing
Bridge:
I look around me and let every lie get in my way
And I know I am trying to live life my way
Chorus.
Solo.
Now I see, friends, lovers & enemies
What do they see in me?
Chorus to end solo.
