Broken innocence

I paint on a smile

And say hello

But there’s so many secrets

That you’ll never know

I act like its nothing

And say i don’t care

But behind the closed curtains

I can’t even bare

I say i’m okay,

And i’m doing fine

But really in reality

My stars aren’t aligned

Society smashes me with words

And tears me apart

It says i’m worthless

And breaks in half my heart

But what happened to the days,

Where we saw rainbows?

So very beautiful

But now there’s tornados

Pink, purple, yellow,

Are all gone

Black, grey, red

Are what I dwell on

So delicate i was

In my youth

It was a splendid time

But now we must face the truth

Fairytales aren’t true

And neither is a happy end

Now i have to pick up pieces over a heartbreak

And just mend

We must conduct to our way to free… We can not walk alone. Always march ahead. We cannot turn back. Heavy with the fatigue of travel,
