Then and Now
I once had a love
Someone perfect beyond no other
We never were out of place
Perfect as ever
Even before as friends
Once our hearts began
There seemed to never be an end
But then
My heart was tortured
He shattered it in a matter of time
But I forgave his faults
We started to become one once again
But then I fell
I found my first
And my head spun
My heart fluttered
I was missing him
But I was with another
The one who could never become a brother
We were the perfect lovers
But as time flew by
I didn’t know who to tell good bye
And when I chose
I learned that it wasn’t right
We could never be perfect
If he just kept making me feel hurt
So I moved
Made my path different
Changed my thoughts
And then again
He came
My first
My Universe
I should of picked him
I should of said yes
But my own heart was a mess
Nothing felt right
It was never the right time
Now
It is time
Many years later
I’ve made the right choice
I chose to be happy
