Who Am I?

I don’t know who I am,

I don’t know who I long to be.

I don’t know where I am,

I don’t know where I’m headed.

I’m a stranger to myself,

Lost and found in a strange world.

Surrounded by strange people,

Who I can’t seem to understand.

But I suppose,

I’m the strangest of them all.

There’s some sort of disconnect,

Between me, and everybody else.

Between me, and myself.

Like something was lost in translation,

Or the wire was cut,

Connecting me to everything else.

I don’t know who I am,

I don’t seem to belong anywhere,

Anymore.

Perched, On a window frame, 9th floor, Lexington Ave, New York City;

In her eyes, The sadness sings, A sorrowful tune. It’s her wake up call, It’s her lullaby,

When you look, In her eyes, The sadness sings, The water shines, The soul shows,
