Tonights' Lullaby

Roses are as red as blood
That has broken through your flesh to meet the night air
Violets are as blue as blood
That fills and shyly lingers in your veins

I see your pale cold face
As blank as the winter sky
Your once warm beating heart
That made the most passionate melody
Is now cold, still, and vacantly dry

If your life flashed before your eyes
It must not of taken long
You; still so innocent in sight
Just as you were pure to touch

The roses and violets will decorate your bed
As a reminder of what you were

Sleep tight sweet soul
