The Feast

And I’ll thank you again for your crumble
As if it was a feast you gave me
Like your crumble was poetry and I was in love with it
As you meant to give me the whole bread
But it is always just a meaningless crumble
A tiny speck of your indifference
Something ungiven and untruthful
Because it fell from your mouth
While you were chewing up someone else
Poor virginal princess
May her memory cherish this happy moment forever
Soon enough
She’ll end up down here with me and the rest of them.
