come back, please?

Mahie Sabu

made a wall for myself,
brick by brick,
to keep me safe,
But you insisted to come in,
And i let you.

but i forgot there was no door,
so you tore down my wall,
and told me it was my fault,
perhaps it was,
perhaps you could’ve helped me rebuild.

And you left,
calling it waste,
and here i am,
picking up the bricks,
but these feel heavier now,
Can you please come,
i’ll build a door this time, i promise!
