i sin
i mess up
i falter
sometimes everything feels like a big disaster
and we think is the happiness we do find gonna stay
or will we just have to keep searching day after day
tho as people we feel sorry for ourselves too much
using being imperfect as a crutch
we waste time thinking we’re so deserving
when god wants us to be serving
especially in this generation theres so much distortion
that some people are okay with things like abortion
we think we’re so misunderstood
we’re being told by the world to just do what makes us feel good
that you need to make your life about you
and sometimes we start to believe that’s what we should do
we worry too much about the acceptance of society
it takes our focus off the almighty
god gave us the ability to be devoted but we don’t always notice
he gave us the chance to be forgiving but we don’t always see it permitting
people get so caught up looking for salvation
we don’t realize we’ve already been forgiven
at times the world leads us to think it’s god vs. me
especially when we’re angry
but i know that’s not how he wants it to be
we need to realize nothing we confess could make him love us any less
but no matter what you believe in
no matter if you see him
he loves me and you more than we can imagine
when our love for him is only a fraction
though sometimes i think its very confusing
being told were precious
at the same time as undeserving
what he did was selfless
when most things i do are selfish
imagine i was there
would i care
would i believe
would i conceive a plan to try
im thankful for what he did
he died so i could live
this isn’t easy
i try but i struggle daily
i don’t wanna go on living my whole life in the shadows
i wanna be out there ending battles
i think some people just think of this as a religion
but we have a mission
i’m not just a christian
cause god has a vision
