Brown Eyes
To Mom & Dad
Why are those brown eyes staring at me all the time?
Watching me with those huge eagle eyes
I sometimes wonder why they follow me everywhere I go!
Every step I take! Every move I make!
But somehow those eyes make me feel secure.
They make me feel that nothing wrong can ever happen to me.
They are the eyes that I saw since I was a little girl.
Those were big brown eyes.
Unlike any I had ever seen.
Now when I see those eyes staring in mine.
I see the love and caring they have given me.
The troubles they have gone through to keep me safe.
At first I felt like I was trapped in a reformatory
Everyone was watching me.
But now, my life is much more secure
Just because of those big brown eyes!
I remember the tears in those eyes when I was hurt.
And the love in them when I was born.
Those eyes give me the feeling of safety and love.
And I wish they will always be there
To take care of me and keep me secured
Give me love and never let go.
The eyes of my parents.
