Nohealani and Apollo

My first poem for Her

Nohealani and Apollo one day
Decided it was time to fly away
So they jumped on the back of a bug named Rosie
Whose back made their bottoms warm and cozy

They flew to a beach with orange palm trees
And surrounded by the sapphire trees
They got off the bug and looked around
And they listened to the soothing sound

The sound of the waves tickled their ears
And took their mind off of their fears
With their toes in the powdered sand
They could truly understand

Each other’s company meant more than gold
And more than what money could ever unfold
They were best friends until the end
To one another, friendly vibes they’d send

Nohealani is a pretty lamb
Who wears a necklace shell of a clam
Apollo is a green and purple frog
Whose shining aura can clear the fog

And so they pressed on and took a walk
Along the beach, they had a long talk
A box of chocolates they would eat
As the waves of the water stroked their feet

As they watched the sun go down
Apollo couldn’t help but frown
For the sunlight lifted his soul
And without it made him un-whole

But Nohealani made him smile
And sang him her music for a while
And Apollo’s aura came right back
And there wasn’t a thing he thought he’d lack

As the sun went down, they began to dance
It was quite an innocent romance
Between a pretty lamb and shiny frog
Whose aura could clear out the fog

For they were friends until the end
Each other’s pain they could mend
And so they went home the following day
Feeling so warm and brightly gay

And he hugged her goodbye and blew her a kiss
Her warm embrace he would miss
Until the day came when she’d come around
And say, “Let’s fly away…how does that sound?”
