For a while now,
i’ve been trying to shake this misguiding frown,
used to protect myself from doubt,
letting my guard down.
One day i’ll tell of traits i couldn’t feel,
clocking up countless nights of guilt.
I peel my sorry state once more,
off this morning frosted sidewalk we once saw,
orange coloured dreams of times inbettween the sunset,
once seen through unskaved eyes that knew no more,
there i came to light,
breathing again as tho i’d only just found my sight,
moving out and on they say
but knowing that time will take me back to the days,
where cares were no more,
slithering across floors of memories but not slipping back.
instead keeping my head above this water that we swim through,
taking time to find new meanings of what we’ve been through,
lessons learned they all tell me,
its a game that were playing,
so if your not winning remember your the only one that can pick up your instrument,
do what you will with,
share it,
just shed all your cares and have fun with it,
run with it.
i know for me,
fulfillment is the main thing i need...
when we’re pushing on,
finding all sorts of things to embark apon,
marker pens,
creating magic before the beholder,
colourful soldiers building up all sorts of intellegence,
your ready man,
battleing with a past head of negligence?
just make a plan,
step by step just get yourself excited,
events ahead that cant even be comprehended,
they lye before you,
just take a little piece and maybe then we’ll take on a more approachable view.
