She stands in front of the mirror staring at her skin, noticing every scar, bump and enlarged pore, feeding the monster deep within.

She takes a stop back and looks at her body with discomfort and disgust in her eyes. Her thighs so massive they won’t get any smaller no matter how many exercises she tries.

She never felt as pretty as all the other girls, she never liked her feet or her kinky curls.

She compared herself to every girl she saw, each time feeding the monster, discovering another flaw.

No matter what anyone told her it was impossible for her to see, what the monster hide from her was the truth of her breathtaking beauty.

The shape of her eyes were so lovely, with a smile so beautiful you could not honestly call her ugly.

But most of all she possessed a heart of gold, and a personality so unique it broke every mold.

She was beautiful in every sense of the word, and anyone who could not see it was just simply absurd.

One day she realised that true beauty lived inside, she no longer feed her monster of insecurity, so weak and hungry…he died.
