Goodbye Part 1
It’s never easy to say goodbye
It’s like you were gone in the blink of an eye
It’s kind of hard to know just how to react
Especially when I know you’re not coming back
Memories fill my head
All the things that I wish you would have said
Questions I could have asked that maybe would explain
If all of this happened in vain?
You left so much behind and it just doesn’t seem fair
To go on in this world with out you being there
There’s so much you are going to miss
Like your daughter’s first boyfriend or her first kiss
So many precious moments that makes life so sweet
Could this have been your emotional retreat?
Now I know that it is time for you to go
Maybe these are things we were never meant to know
I hold you in my heart
So we will never be that far apart.
I just hope one day that I can learn to say goodbye
But for now I will just sit here and cry.
