Looking back on the memories and lessons learned, it may be blessing but it’s stressing me as I toss and turn.
Only time will tell if it’s meant to be, me with her and her with me.
Dreams and nightmares keep me awake at night, wondering why you didn’t stay here and put up a fight.
It was so easy for you to walk away, I’ll remember it forever because it was Valentine’s Day.
The day that my life changed in an instant, now there’s boards across my heart and it’s you that fenced it.
Are you too far gone for us to make this work? I know you need your space but damn this hurts.
If you’d only give me the chance, if only you were ready to save me the last dance.
If you are done and there’s no chance whatsoever, just tell me now so I can save myself the tether.
Around and around in circles we go, playing these games that I don’t even know.
You don’t text and neither do I, when we both love each other and are living a lie.
Sometimes I cry and then sometimes I smile, thinking about you all the worthwhile.
If this time that we shared was meant as a lesson, just always know that to me you were a blessing!
