if it was as if the butterfly

had just landed, no –lifted in flight.

or the breath of it

just touched the branch

as if begging for (information), help

in a sense of the word

as it twirls in d lite

stammering for words to–

understand some opaque object

or a shadow of what is comprehensible

to the dreamer, startled by the reality

of the dream, if it was so

just going into the chrysalis

—as dead or sleeping

with the enemy inside

stuck for a term,

to be rounded at the edges

polished as the iridescent gem

hanging in expectation

this really happened - you thought

that was a dream, i dreamed that??

what is reality??

what does come after the butterfly
