God

I don’t believe in a god represented
by evil priests and false prophets for money,
and spoken of by politicians for power,
a puppet for the maniacs of greed.

I don’t believe in a god who has
become the dividing point of humanity,
a detonator of incendiary wars,
and secret deeds of darkness.

I don’t believe in a god
for whom love creates refugees
and who imprisons people at the border
as a lesson to other unfortunates.

I don’t believe in a god who hates homosexuals,
who is a stumbling block to women,
and cares nothing about fiddling with young boys
so that they are scarred for life.

I don’t believe in a god
who hides behind a culture of godlessness
doing nothing about self-entitled evil,
and hides behind the clouds he’s said to ride upon.

I don’t believe in a god
for whom love and hate are identical
but rants at the “sins”  of those
from a tribe that’s not his own.

I don’t believe in that god.
