THE DAY I BECAME A MAN

PHIL 's MIX

The day I became a man I put away petty things.
But before I became a man I did not always see my blessings.
I was so lost in world full of lies,
that I did not realize marital things were not the true prize.
I party with friends living for today like there was no tomorrow,
As jesus never live in sorrow.
I would search for temporary pleasure like a dog with a bone,
Running around Friday nights like I’m mentally gone.
Hell with faith I’ll create my own kingdom,
I’ll live by a model that says, “ I’m the man you only live once,” Yolo,
because before I became a man I was just a man that was shallow.
The day I became a man I took flight,
I started caring than my parents saw a light.
I begin feel my soul feeling delite,
I would search for intelligent, wise leaders that are alike.
Lust became a dislike,
I begin to dream of being a shining knight.
Because one day when I have a wife I want her to experience a love like cupid arrows,
My son will know a God  who will humble him as Amos.
I want my son to know a God that can strengthen him like no Weights can,
I want my son to know the real challenge is the one that others say that they can’t upstand,
I want my little girl to one day know the difference between a boy who wants a one nightstand and a man who will withstand.
The day I became a man friends took a step back of confusion,
Wondering if this is just a illusion.
The lights begin to dim on some friends,
yet the same friends the light dim on are the ones who took to step forward with BiblLical questions  to vent.
The day I became a man I shut up and became allergic to average,
I started hitting the books and became a savage.
I stop walking in the streets like I’m ravage,
When truly inside I’m full of baggage.
The day I became a man I walk in Next level,
And they truly guid me to be successful.
Now today I walk with a S on my chest,
Not cause I am superman NO I am not a man of my own thorn its because I will one day be in eternal rest.
The day I became a man I said, “ I want be more than my peers,”
I stop partying and started working with the man upstairs.
I stop acting like something I’m not just to please others,
And started listening to mother.
The day I became a man I want when I have depart from this world to have made a impact,
I stop living life carelessly and started creating a mental and spiritual act.
I turn off the tv, I give away the game system and cut the cable,
Just so I can loose distraction to pick up my bible.
The day I became a man God pick me up,
Than give me the champion cup.
Because God cut off the springs with pruning hooks,
He prune my strength even more than He said,"look."
The day I became a man my anger has been shifted,
My sins have been forgiven and my burdens have been lifted.
So I can fine piece in his remarkable holy land,
Because he took my anger, he took my worries and took my hand.
The day I became a man.
