Movie script: It is all in my head

Scene I
Do you want to talk about it?
—I think that sometimes
we all have those feelings.
It can be very difficult finding out
who our friends are.
Yes, but we all need someone
we can rely on heavily.
And this is what this is,
right? This is a bad issue.
—Sometimes, it’s OK to push
people away, to not let them in.
It’s not selfish?
Yes, and you have to put yourself first.
I think we’ve made good progress today.
—Yes

Scene II
Now, I understand you want to make a cash withdrawal
from your checking account?
—That’s right.
Easily done, we shouldn’t have a problem with that.
—Good, good to hear.
Alright, let me just pull up your account here.
—OK...
Just a formality...
But... your account blocked and
has expired.
—What? I don’t know they could expire.
And so, you don’t have
any authority to access your money.
—I... I have expenses. I have daily
expenses that need to be taken care of.
I mean, this... this... is exactly
the type of thing that upsets me.
I like to know that things
are going smooth, without complications and
that I can get money from my own bank account!
I understand, but it is blocked from our computer system
but I will call the manager and get some more information.
–Yeah.– OK.
—It’s my only active Checking Account.

Scene III (At a Local restaurant)
Here you go.
Is this OK?
—Yeah. Veggies only and some bread please
—No... it can’t be.
You OK? Were you talking to me?
Sir? Are you ok? What happened?
—Make him go away.
Make who go away?
—I don’t need him. Tell him...
—Tell him I don’t need him around.
Sh... sh... there’s nobody here,
Its midnight. It’s just us. . .
It’s OK. It’s just me, the cook and you.
—Did... did you hear him?
—Tell me... tell me, you heard her.
I’ll go get you a coffee, OK?
—No... No, no, no,
—But my wife, she...
—She left me. It was my fault.
Hey, it’s OK.
It’s alright.
You are going to be alright. OK.
Don’t feel badly, it must be tough.
—Well, it’s tougher for her!
I wouldn’t know.
—Right, I have to go now.
—Here is my Credit Card.
—Charge it fast
I will sir. Give me a minute.
Done.
—Ok
—Bye.
Hey! - Hey. What about your food.
—I’m sorry I freaked out right now but its not you to understand it.
—Nobody does.
No, don’t worry about it.
Please go rest then.
Can you drive?
—I got a bicycle.
—Thank you
You’ll be, OK.
Um...

Scene IV
—There’s a whole world out here. And
—I want to experience it before my death.
I really think that you should
—Just, give me time.
—I... I... can do this without money
—I need to do fast though
—For me
You know I can always help you with expenses.
—Yeah... No, I am ok. I don’t want your money anymore.
Yeah, I noticed. You dont seem fine these last few weeks.
—Its ok, I’m fine. I’m fine.
—Don’t worry about it, OK?

Hey buddy! What’s wrong? What’s wrong?
—He was here!
—In front of me here.
It’s alright, I’m right here.
Every thing’s fine, It’s OK.
I’m telling you, I’m telling you, Temo,
someone was there.
Alright, he’s not here right
now. Look at me.
—hhhee’ss
—he’s not here now, OK.
Thank you.
I can’t believe you’re doing this at 2:00am in the morning.
—That was not my intention, OK?
These hallucinations that you’re having
are becoming more frequent.
You need to see a doctor
—OK...
—I do not remember you right now.
You’re my friend.
You helped me once and I am helping you now...
I know this is hard for you.
—No... It is destiny.
I don’t want to falsely diagnose this. You
have to know I’m not judging you.
I’m here to help you.

Scene V
Good Morning.
Do you have visions during the night?
—No. Its not visions. It is real. They talk to me Sometimes.
I will call a doctor for you. OK?
—OK. Thank you.

Scene VI
—Who are you?
A friend.
—Why are you haunting me.
—What do you want?
I am your friend and....
...I can be whatever you want me to be.
—Hey!
Hey what?
—Hey Temo
Is... is there someone here with
us, right now?
No!
I’ve actually had a really good day.
We sold a lot of your product at the show.
So Did you go to the doctor?
Temo, I’m fine. This is nothing.
IT will go away.
Nice. “It will go away?” Now
Great! I’m just a “it”?
—Who are you! What do you want!
Buddy? Talk to me? Who is here?
—Listen Temo, this is the worst it’s ever been...
—I don’t think I have this under control.

Scene VII
—You again!
I’m here because you want me to be.
Then make me go away.
Not working, is it?
You need me.
I am here because you can’t
make it without me.
—You’re very good.
Thanks.
—No, I mean it.
—You’re really talented.
—Where do you get the idea of haunting me?
Where they’ve always been. In your head.
—Everyone thinks I’m nuts.
Are you?
—What?
—Nuts.
—That’s funny.
—My imaginary friend wants to
—know if I’m nuts.
Well? Are you?
—Not yet! Not yet!

Scene VIII
—Temo. I went to the doctor today but...
—the medications are suppose to be
helping, but they are not, it’s not working.
I am still here you know and I think you’re just too
scared to admit that you are nuts...
—You are not here. Only Temo is here.
You can do it.
Fight it. Its just imaginary.
You can do this.
I know you can.
Fight it.
—I am.
Well, maybe the medication, it’s giving you the strength.
—Not yet.
—Can you be seeing something
that exist only in your mind?
—I have been, half my life seeing things that are not.
You will beat this.
—I suppose.
How was your day?
—It was OK. I went to the doctor again.
—I think he helped me and is going to run some tests on me tomorrow.
—Do you think it is something bad?
—Yeah. I think so.
—I want me to get better.
and I’m really trying.
You have to stop drinking every night.
I saw the tequila in your room.
—Oh, Yeah. Booze with medication.
—But It helps to sleep.
No it doesn’t. It makes things worse.
—OK. I will try to stop.

Scene IX
She will stop loving you soon.
—What do hell do you want?
—Get off my head!
—She’s my wife, you know?
—She’s everything I ever loved
—I love her very much.
Prepare for the worst, and hope
for the best, my friend.
—Yeah. You are no friend.
—Go away!
—(Sighs)
Don’t be an idiot. She’s left you for good.
—Shut up!
—I don’t want to her hurt again ever.
Well. Keep in mind, you’re not the cause,
you’re just the means.
Just remember...
She is gone and you and I will have
nothing to worry about.
You won’t have to hide, you can access
your mind, anytime you want too...
We will help you.
—We? Who is we?
...surrounded...
...suspended...
...and when your head is under...
It’s just so quiet.
Nothing to bother you...
...so alone.
...so safe.
...we can help you.
—OK. Go away now.
Well, I guess if I go, I’ll be back again.
—No... no... you won’t .
You can’t get rid of me that easily.
—I have to get rid of you.
—How dare you come in here
and talk to me.
There is one more option.
You know, that you can go kill yourself
And you will do her a favor forever.
—I am guilty I didn’t admit her sooner.
—I’m not expecting miracles, just do
what you have too.
—Whatever it takes. Just kill me.

Scene X
Where have you been?
Are you ok?
—Yes Temo. I was in Oregon.
Are you OK?
—I killed a vision.
—And you know what? Let me tell you,
—It was unbelievably liberating.
—just a weight off my shoulders.
—I really killed that person in my head.
—Figuratively speaking, Temo
Really? How so?
No, no, I saw... I saw the blood.
—What? You could see blood?
—Yes, I could see blood.
Oh... I wouldn’t think you would
be able to see it.
I mean he was a
vision, or whatever, you want to call it.
If you really killed it, where is it?
What did you do with the body?
I buried it...
What?
Where?
Where did you bury it?
You acting like I actually killed someone.
—It was only Imaginary.
I am Glad. But And...
—I’m so relieved, really I...
—God, thank you, for giving me another chance.
—Now I need to go to the bank.

Scene XI
How can I help you sir.
You want to open up a new accoun?
—No. No, I... I... I... just need to make
a quick withdraw from the account.
Our tellers help our regular clients.
—I’m a old customer. I just need to make
a withdraw from my account.
Let me check for you.
Sir? Your account? It’s closed.
—What do you mean the account
is closed? Who closed the account?
—Tell me who closed the
account!.
Sir? I will call Security.
Sir!? Please.....
Get your hands off me! Who
closed the account?!
—Buddy, are you OK?
—Not now, Temo!
Sir. I don’t want to call the police.
Just please leave!
—Temo?
What happened?
—Who closed the account?
—Did you?
No, of course not.
I don’t have access to it.
Why would I do that?
—Something is happening. I... I...
—its happening again... they say
and they said the account is closed
—...I saw him, and I saw him,
and he was there... at the bank
—He is screw me again. He took my money.
Buddy, he doesn’t exist.
Listen to me.
—I... I think my family, they planned this thing out
from the very beginning, alright?
Buddy, you’re not making any sense.
Let’s go get you home, OK?
And you’ll feel better.
Come on.
—I am going to go crazy!
—Ahh!
—Ahh!
—Ahh!!
Calm Down. OK?
—He was just here.
Who?
—Him! he was just here.
I just saw him!
I do not see anyone.
—SHUT UP! I’M TRYING TO THINK!
OK. I will. Lets just get home so you can rest.
—Look! Look! See? See him?
See?
—See? See him there?
What are you talking about?
What?
—He’s here!
Almost home.
—You don’t understand.
Come on...

Scene XII
Did you sleep some? Are you feeling better?
—I’m fine, OK?
—There’s nothing wrong with me. I’m,
—I’m, I’m perfectly normal.
It doesn’t look that way.
—What are you trying to do to me?
With what?
—The bank?
What bank?
—I had everything planned. You ruined it,
—you ruined it, just like you always do.
You need to see the doctor again.
—I just...
—I just need to get rid of my other personality
—It is returning to haunt me again.
—OPEN THE DOOR!
—It is the police!
Open the door!
—What did I do?
Sit down sir!
I need for you to sit down, now. NOW!
Central, Unit 7, requesting back
up at 1216 Paloma Drive.
—You don’t need to call for back up.
—I admit that I caused a little trouble at the Bank.
—I am sorry. I will take full responsibility.
We are here because the bank overheard you saying “I killed you and you should be dead”
Can you tell us about that sir?
No. I am his friend. My name is Temo.
He didn’t do it.
No. No. I mean he’s imagining
these things...
He sees things that can’t be real.
Was he on any medication?
I’ve seen him take pills, yes.
I don’t know what they are, I assume
the pills are making him hullicinate people.
Did he attack
you? Did he physically assault you?
Oh, no... no, he’s never done that.
And he was calling out... for this
imaginary person he says he sees?
And no one else was here?
No, I’ve been with all this time since the bank and
until we got home.
Do you feel safe in the house with him?
Yeah, I mean he scared me, but...
he would never hurt me. I mean, he
and I are friends.
We will be fine. I will take responsibility for him.
We will leave but...
Well, we’ll... we’ll drive by a
couple of times tonight.
You let us know if you need anything.
Thank you, so much.

Scene XIII
I’m so sorry Temo.
It’s my fault.
I just wish I had been born healthier.
No, no, no, don’t say that, OK?
You’re doing the best you can.
—She left me because of my crazy self.
She loves you man.
I am sure she does but you have to understand her point of view.
—I do understand but now the bank closed my account.
—How do I tell her that?
We’ll figure this out, OK?
Goodnight.

Scene XIV
—Ahhh, aahhhh, ahh!
—Come out!
—Come out!
—I just saw him again!
—I was lying on the bed. He came in
—and tried to touch me.
—He was just there.
Buddy. You will be alright.
Lay down.
Rest.
OK?
—I’m sorry, but I loved her so much, I’m sorry.
—Damn it...
Thank you, for everything.
—No, I will be here to help you buddy.
