In Defense of the Rightrous Grace of Hemp
Imagine if every cannabis consumer caught
All elected to be tried by their peers at court
Choosing trial by jury, tackling bent judiciary
Stating their case that cannabis is no crime
If only ever herb enthusiast arrested refused
A caution, or magistrate visit just to be fined
Or jailed by bureaucrat uneducated about pot
If all those accused of cannabis wrong doing
Refused to plead guilty, denouncing the law
Demanding trial to establish their innocence
Not kneeling down to corrupt archaic rulings
But battling anti herb edict with pot research
Defending their self with cannabis knowledge
Trusting the truth about herb to sway the jury
The courts would be swamped by herb cases
Inundated by costs of holding unbiased trials
At 20,000 a day per trial it aint fiscally viable
To continue to prosecute the herb aficionado
If we all are prepared to inform jury members
Of cannabis benefit and about jury nullification
They’re not obliged to do as judge Judy orders
But analyse all evidence with good conscience
To come to the conclusion cannabis cultivation
Is a natural act free of harm, or any criminality
Fear not babilon tax that is paltry fine and costs
They can’t jail us all or sustain prosecution cost
If we all stood firm, refusing to be intimidated
Overgrew a bad law that oppresses our health
Hemp our mojo to face ordeal of being judged
If only all herb lovers agreed not to be mugged
Chains of cannabis laws would be unshackled
So stand firm in your battles to grow cannabis
Canna common sense will prevail if we’re firm
With herb power and truth we’ll create heaven
If we’re prepared to battle this good green fight
To defend our canna use, to denounce pot hate
With canna pleas we can bring justice to Earth
In defence of cannabis we advocate herb grace
