Wonderous Treez of Life and Great Abundance
And seeds from the tree of life were germinated
For the service, benefit, and healing of humanity
Herb grew on both banks of the river of fortitude
The river meandered thru the valley of plentitude
Lush verdant vegetation covered miles and miles
The green grass grew tall, a safe haven to wildlife
Birds ate the seeds, small mammals ate the leafs
The odd deer passing by would have a good nibble
And when the time of year right, and the crop ripe
The folks who lived in the villages by the wide river
Would cut down the sticky cane plants to harvest
Every part of the plant was used from stalk to bud
Great reverie and camaraderie was enjoyed by all
Singing and dancing took place whilst harvesting
Dusty pollen clouds permeated the air to be inhaled
Making the hemp gatherers giddy and light headed
The days of the sweet canna harvest were revered
The happiness and lucid heads were felt for days
The harvest was a day of smiling and great laughter
The bumper crops were used for nearly everything
From basket weaving to making fine linen and cloth
To ropes, and construction, ointments and medicine
And the seeds of the tree of life served man robustly
Feeding, clothing and healing all humanity’s ailments
