Our painting is in a local museum
Not beautiful enough to end up in the Louvre
But good enough to be recognized
Slight cracked in the paint show the struggle
Tears in the canvas show the pain and aches endured
But the framework holds it together
It is a beautiful peace of art
It may not be globally known like the Mona Lisa
We will never know if she’s smiling or not
But this painting is far more meaningful
When I look at it i see us
Rough in the middle
But still held together by something
Pain and aches are common and all over
Just as on the painting
We may not be able to be displayed in the Louvre
But this is our painting
And it is eternally beautiful
