Painter’s Undertaking
Thoughts presented and promises undertaken
the search for beauty and more again
visions forming and running through the mind
captured and admired and fervently enshrined
a faithful oath so ingrained in the heart and soul
to stay on beauty’s path in complete control
to envision the canvas as a painting complete
with colors and shapes and rapture sweet
to work he commits himself with God as a guide
stroking his brush with a new feeling inside
creating a Shangrila with such beauty abound
inviting him in to come and look all around
to marvel at his work and praise himself
from his lowly place to his upper shelf
and invite the crowd to come inside and see
come into his world to set their spirits free
painting complete and new world come upon
a raising of the esteem to an upper echelon.
The undertaking did what it set out to do;
to bring a new exhilarating world into view.
I'm not a painter but I can just imagine what may take place in his mind. I hope I'm accurate.
