Twigs

The journey and struggles of creating your destiny

I carve the branch, ensuring what I take is just enough to start my blaze. One piece to big, one night in dark.

I set my core aside, now searching for twigs. The field is barren, I might find two.

Surrounded by a forest I dare not enter. I walk to the brink, staring off into the abyss at my twigs I dare not gather.

I carry my life back to the fire, only enough for a single stay. Knowing tomorrow I will move two feet one way.

Encountering the unknown or a challenge sets off a chain of reactions in your brain. Your receptors fire away and far too many times autopilot guides your path.
