Dead Soul Walking

I walked through dry deserts
That were once vast oceans
Dreaming of cool flowing waters
My deep thirst would be quenched
Precious air did I long for
To fill my body with life
My heart beat steady and true
Yet my soul stayed still and silent
Through the deserts did I wonder
Making turn after turn
Only to led me into regret
Walking blindly and alone
I spiraled down into a great ravine
Never thought to ever emerge
Then a figure a faint image
In the haze did I see
Like rain descending on a dying rose
Cool waters did touch my lips
At once my thirst was quenched
Like a delicate quiet breeze
Sweet breath flowed into me
At once I was filled with life
Like lighting would strike a tree
So did a great shock enter me
My soul did lunge not once but twice
Then into a rhythm of  perfect beat
A dead soul walking truly I was
Until you found me
