The Forgetful Path of Progress
With the Advent of Science,
And the History of Corruption,
Both of the Government,
And the Church,
The Progress of the People,
Pursued the People’s Ends,
An End to Superstition,
And an end to Dark Overlords,
But in our Path,
We lost the Truth,
The Essence of Which,
Is hidden Within Us,
It is the Human Soul,
The Spirit, the Sensation,
It is the Belief, that Miracles are Possible,
We need this Old Fire,
If it goes out,
Then all the Warmth in the World,
Will go out with It.
