UNDROWNFUL

Under thousand-foot raindrops,
a memory. Swum thru burnt stone.

The undeniability of ice
having memory.

Water on the brain
at the headwaters of our language,

whether fog weighs down an airport or not.
When we decide to allow for blind joy.

The glassy fathoms magic the space of it.
Laughter lasting for days.

Being slowly digested by flowers.
The imperfect memory of bees.

Their sugar-mazes. Their ancient book of humming.
