Feeding the Asylum Cat
My homes next door to the asylum
In the garden there’s a cave full of bats
The Mad Hatter and me are having tea
He’s in his 10/6 pence Hat
And I’m feeding the Asylum Cat
The inmates are screaming through the bars
And someone’s stolen a wheel of my car
A crazy guy puts his head over the wall
He says “take one wheel nut off the other wheels “,,
“Then you can use the spare tyre and will then fit “,
I said “ your Clever “, “thanks “, he said “ I know “, I stole it!
Yes, it’s crazy living here, but I have no fear
I enjoy the company, as an inmate hands me a beer
Outside there’s normal insanity, in the world
And here there’s un normal insanity, where they’re held
And while me and the inmates, drink tea, beer and chat
The only one normal, is the Asylum Cat
