A mothers heartbeat.

Her otherwise poised eyes bolted across to the imperfection of an un cradled baby,
Like a kayak washing vigorously down into a basin of despair,
The water at the bottom opaque yet distilled with a sense of clarity,
Curiosity infatuating her otherwise disciplined mind,
With circumstances shown to be more obvious than the obliterating undiscovered,
A pressing fear forwarded to her in the form of an unconditional bond,
Her rationality untouched and contained in that of a blubber,

Did her heart once beat for another?
Did her heart once beat as a mother?
