Dark Waves

You came into my life when I was drowning
Time had turned on me and I was left spinning in circles
It was you who pulled my head above water
You turned those dark waves into gentler tides

I’ve always been told to be cautious
Especially if I’m swimming with sharks
But it’s you who should be careful too
For you’re the one who would be sleeping with a siren

(2015)

Once again, not sure if you'll consider this poetry exactly
But i'm posting it because I like it.
