When first introduced,
amazing feelings produced
Common sense a block,
My heart fell like a rock.
I felt so special,
Within every vessel.
The tables turned,
lesson learned.
Made me feel such desire,
Regardless of my attire.
Over two years later,
You know I am not a hater.
Fight my feeling everyday,
Heart still a fray.
How can I start a new beginning,
There is just no winning.
If only you’d been honest,
Or meant what you promised.
My head says you’re a liar,
Yet my heart is still on fire.
Were the words I spoke a drouth,
Your taste on my mouth.
Full of hate,
