A Sleepless Night (just myself and I)

And so I can’t sleep again.
It’s become annoying, this mind numbing game.
Staring at this ceiling, howling and screaming.
I’ve given insomnia a deeper dark meaning.
For as I lay, I don’t lay alone.
I’ve got myself with me, he won’t leave me alone.
Taunting and teasing, I’m begging and pleading.
I want to be sleeping, happy and dreaming.
His pain in my thoughts, it’s all I can hear.
The sound of his voice, I’ve now grown to fear.
I’m driving me mad, I can’t stand to be here.
I just need some sleep for my head to be clear.

The first poem I wrote, very early in 2012
I was doing stuff I shouldn't have been causing me not to be able to sleep, I'm sure you'll figure it out if you read more of them...
