Eulogy Of Lucia Fenias Macie...

How do I relate the tale of my mother?

Her impeccable features were in style
Dark-skinned small petite
A woman with a big heart
She carried her weight
As if nothin’
Her shadow extolin’ her from behind
When she pass
Men’s eyes follow her
As if to take her
And frame her beauty
Like Monalisa is

She was a Queen with no attachment to a king
Independent woman
She holds her own, rifles and shortgun
A Queen who fought her own battle
She was once abused
Bereaved from her offspring
The scars in her soul
Served as a reminder
That she didn’t need a pity of a man
Nor holds animosity towards any man
For she said: 'life expectancy is too short to hold grudges’

Her man a GPS cannot find
He left her with a child
But she stood tall like Kilimanjaro
An african beauty
She fathered her child
She mothered her child
I still remember how she raised me
From nothin’ to being this man I am
She taught me a lot
Her education holds an honours degree in my heart
Its because of her teachings
That I know not to raise my hand at a woman
That I stand against woman abuse

It saddens me
That this is just a eulogy
If only she was still alive
Then I would write an ode
Singin’ praises of her restless effort
It takes two to raise a child
But she did it all alone
If your mother is still alive
Listen to the tale that I relate
Always show her she is the Queen of your universe
She maybe old
She may not be smart as your smartphone
Nor failin’ to operate this new technologies like you
But always love her
Some might say: 'she has never loved me’
As if giving birth to you was not enough!
Because of abortion
How many infants are never given a chance to see the light
But here you are
Was that love not enough?
