Without Rain
No patience
To wait beside
The wishing well run dry
No pennies to drop
Till the rain
Falls from the sky
Beneath the surface
Lie the rivers remnants of the goldmine
Sparkling and shining
Reflections of the glimpses of daylight
The warm day’s
Golden delight
Illuminates the skies
As birds take flight
Into the deep blue
Rain clouds
