Strength, its a word used to describen the physical dominance of one guy over another. Who has the biggest arms, the strongest punch, who can lift and bench the most.
Everyone forgets about the kid round the corner. Mum and sisters ill so he just works harder. Trying to get a good education so he can provide all the food and medication.
He’s a hard working kid, a good willed kid, but noone at school would say there was strength in this kid. Cos his arms are small and his shoulders arent broad, he cant lift much and he doesnt even bench at all.
But the strengths in his heart, in his mind and his soul, within himself hes stronger than us all. He may not bench and build muscle like you, but the strength inside, you just havent got a clue.
When he picks up his mum to put her into bed, when he rocks his sister off to sleep you better bet  that the strength in the boy is unconceivable and the fire and desire is unexstinguishable.
Cos this lad doesnt know any other way, stuck in this hell every single day, you all take the piss, tell him he’s not strong, but one day he’ll snap and prove you all wrong.
The strength on the inside is all gonna come flooding out, and you better just realise you better not even doubt
That when he blows and lets you all see
You better start running cos he’s stronger than you and me.
The kid on the corner may not look alot.
But dont judge a book by its cover, his strength is hidden under key and lock.
