DEEP WATERS

DEEP WATERS

The darkness around him,
Pressed slightly beyond him,
As he stood in the doorway,
Of letting madness dissolve him.

He fought for the daylight,
with desperate emotion,
Lost and alone,
Adrift a raft on the ocean.

Was he trying to find pleasure?
Or just trying to find peace?
His mind it was numb
But his soul his to keep

No matter the cause,
Dark waters run deep.
Through his veins,
Pumps the blood,
Of a dragon, asleep.
