Friable
friable - easily crumbled or pulverized
This heart of mine
so easily broken
when harsh words
are spoken.
They punch through my sternum
breach my rib cage,
penetrate my chambers,
into my ventricles
like poisonous chemicals.
This heart of mine
so benign by design
has no recourse
but to resign.

I am often on the receiving end of harsh words. I think I am too quiet at times, and people think that they can say whatever they like to me.
I feel things very strongly...sometimes it's a blessing, other times, a curse.
