Nightmares
Nightmares creeping into my mind while I try to sleep
Breaking my faith on the things I wish to keep.
Whether it’s drowning, a wreck, or falling
All of them have me up at night balling.
Hardly sleeping right at night
Because of the things causing fright.
I wish for one night that lasts from dusk to dawn
And that these accursed dreams begone.
