"The Both Sides of Me"

Good Meets Evil.

The woman in my dream
Wears a white gown,
Mended by The High Angels
Tears bring the color out

This girl, this magnificence
This beauty cannot be true,
For yet this little lovely lady
Hides love like a recluse

She struts around my house
Waiting to be seen,
The only way to seize the day
Is to accomplish it through dreams

She looks inside the mirror
To only see a cloud,
Shrouded empty thoughts
The new little girl in town

A father... An alcoholic
And a stay at home mom
Picked on by the little kids
They didn’t see what I saw’

A girl of wisdom
Impeccable intelligence,
She can draw, she can write
She can sing, she was heaven sent

She looked at life
Like open mic night to be free,
She slips through the cracks
Beneath the floor beside me

My shadow talks to her
I hear voices in the night,
I wake up to look around
W my glasses on my bed side

I turn on the lights
And nothing could appear,
Only a dark memory
Sent to me through the mirror

I look at the little girl...
She turns and looks at me
Puts her hand on the glass
I do the same to feel complete

She smiles and she laughs
Her eyes had hit hard
She walks down the frame
Outside towards the stars

She looks back to me
And waves to come along,
I see this figure slither out
Yes... out upon the lawn

It was my best friend
My shadow my other side,
My inner child broken open
Tears inhaled, instead of cried

He turns around like a Ferris wheel
Completely head over heels,
He’s finally found the light
Issues other can’t really feel

He whispers to me
“Farewell my dear friend,
Hopefully they’ll understand
What they put Us through man’

I’m sorry I can’t stay
But I found the only one,
Hopefully you’ll find the same
u can’t fix what they have done”

He takes her by the hand
And says “my darling my sweet,
It’s you and I.. I feel complete
I want you to have all of me”

As she departs
My shadow does too...
Holding they’re hands tight
I always reach out to the moon

Now when I look down
The light is all I see...
If my darkness can find the light
imagine what’s in store for me.
