"The Man Locked In The Mirror"

This Poem is made because of humanities lack or effort of change.
It really shows what people say, in order to protect themselves of the truth.

Excuses, excuses
flank his crooked lies,
Black crows resemble fear
as if its first fear is to fly.

His life is but nothing
almost as is if it stole his hate,
four years destroyed
what could have been great.

He peers at himself
with such regret and disgust,
he lacks to change
and change he must.

He looks for the lock
to open and step out,
but all he found
was his past read aloud.

He ignored his soul
his life looked so rough,
he bursts into tears
and says “ I give up! ”.

He sat in the corner
for a sign that he lost,
his heart breathed for once
but only smoke and exhaust.

And so he’s tired of crying
tired of stupid games,
he wants to be released
so he rattles his cage.

He screams “ Help me out!
O please help! ”,
but on the other side...
is the real deal..himself.

(2013)

I walked into the bathroom one day, and i said " I dont like what I see ". This poem states that sometimes, you have trouble being who you are. The person at the end of the poem screaming " Help me out! O please help! ", is your reflection having a hard time dealing with people's preposterous excuses on everyday life.
