What is Trust?

To those who confuse danger with what they do not know

What then is the price of trust?
What do you need for trust?
That is a question that troubles my mind
and aches my soul and heart

I do not understand:
why is it needed a test for trust?
Why does a war of unexistant danger,
and blindness of what happens must erupt?

I see people crying for trust,
for understanding,
and finally for forgivness
I ask: Why?

And is curious how this distrust
leeds people to doing what it is at first prohibited
And of course the disrust hightens to levels of epic measure
Then again, I ask: Why?

I’ve seen people, some I love, some I hate
swearing for many things:
their mother and father, their brothers and sisters
their friends and lovers, and even in the name of God

I ask then: Why?
Why do people mistrust?
Isn’t the manners of one enough,
his or her kindness and education?

Why do people need proofs?
Perhaps because of the lies...
or perhaps because they do not know
And are blinded with what they think to know

Some distrust may end in tragedy
Hasn’t the mighty William Shakespeare written that?
Haven’t we seen enough?
I ask now: How long before trust?

And this tragedy may end in blood
That is what they do not know
While the thoughts of the untrusted fight and fall
the mind gets corrupted in mistake

The person thinks he is not worth any trust
It feels it is not enough for the requirements
And slowly and silently he or her gets tired
And ends in a so called Romeo & Juliet tragedy

With both, the mistrusted one,
by the pain of a low self—esteem
And the one that mistrusts
by the regret of His or Her actions

Then I ask:
Is it necessary the trust then?
I say yes in to ways:
protection and confidence

If you do not want a person to end
end in a Shakespeare Tragedy way
Trust, and if you do not trust; at least be sure of why
So trust with open eyes...

Mistrusting leads to lies
Lies leads to anger,
anger leads to caos and despair
Despair leads to tragedy, Caos to dead...

(2013)

This poem is a critic and an expression. A critic to those who do not have reasons to mistrust (for you may distrust someone that is not a good influence) and an expression of the feeling; I rectify: of the TERRIBLE and ENDURABLE feeling.
