A lot of changes have happened in my life

enough to break someone’s soul

But I’m still alive inside

barely feeling whole

I’m such a great woman

beautiful inside and out

I can take on the world

and be ready without doubt

Prepared to struggle

prepared to fight

On a stable path

doing things right

Still there’s so much pain

that lies beneath my smile

Heartache and misery

go on mile after mile

Can I ever be free?

of this resentment and hate

Will it ever go away?

or is this my fate

Am I already gone?

Has evil consumed me?

As I think of my memories

I laugh and I weep

Realizing life it to short

to be nasty and cheap
