As I accidentally wake you,

One crisp autumn

late afternoon,

You smile up at me.

So tenderly.

The fan breeze chilling our faces,

The warmth in our toes intertwined.

The steady hum of your breath,

As you nod off against me.

Our shapes casting behind us

In the sweet glow of the television set.

Outside my window

A trees’ silhouette dances

On the sidewalk.

Like a hitch in space dimensions,

Living a phantom life,

Soon Long forgotten.

The memory of shadow.

I agree with Julia it flows so perfectly... take out the (previous version note) and you are left with a perpetual waking to a beautiful love... Love this!
