21 years & a day
21 years 1 day was all a haze
Losing her that way the darkest day
You know, you plan but can this be
To cut so deep in disbelief
Then time rolls on and life evolves without much thought of what unfolds
You do your best to keep ur thoughts from racing round
Move on, enjoy, she knows she 's watching you and proud
So throughout the years you change and grow
Thinking of times you know the smile she d show
The fear creeps in to leave you sad
A shadow looming over, can it be this bad?
Shock confusion disbelief that darkness falls
You know you knew before this was for real
So what else can you do but give your all
To those around, your family, you know how it feels
I did, I have, I’ve done my best
Without regret for me a vital part
I’ll think a lot & see this as my test
But in the meantime thank you with all my heart
