Composed Upon Westminster Bridge 2007

I feel sometimes
so lonely
looking off of a bridge
into a city so far from you.
The clouds brush buildings
and the water crimps
in synchronized paces.
The Big Ben ticks
as the London Eye drops.
The gentle voices of  Queen Elizabeth,
Aphra Behn and Charles Darwin
flow from the  Abbey;
and I,
on the same bridge as William Wadsworth,
cannot see nor hear where I am
because all of me
is with you.
