Lips like poison
Your vows take over me
I shiver at the touch of your hand above my knee
So innocent and young and full of energy
Your day will come
And black roses will wither
At the thought of us together
They lead the trail to the steeple
A trail traveled by not many people
Up the steps and under the shade
You take my hands
This is my day
“If I should die before I wake”
My soul will find my way to you
And if my vows aren’t going to keep
My soul is yours and same with my heartbeat

Although I enjoy romantic aspirations (or at least, reading them), I don't see anyone deserving of having an entire soul and heartbeat devoted to them. That's my anti-romantic sentiment. Thanks for the poem
