Scarlet Rose

As I wondered upon the narrow path
I pondered upon this rich scarlet rose
Then came an old man with a wooden staff
He had cursed me from my head to my toes
The unlawful Curse shall not be lifted
Unless You’re heart be pure and true
I picked the rose and the pedals drifted
Thus the scarlet rose faded to blue
I knew the rose was dead and gone
so I waited for the buds to grow anew
The old man came back, and it didn’t take long
But the rose appeared, and had finally grew
You have been tested, and your heart stayed true
So I hereby lift this curse from you
