Springtime

The cold breeze, the bitter freeze
Where has it all gone?
How could something be so nice
Then unexpectedly move on?

I miss the leaves that fall to earth
In yellow, brown and red
I miss the bitter winter air
The seclusion, cold, and snow

Presently the air is warm
Filled with colors of spring
People have no care at all
While walking through the streets

I don’t like wearing summer clothes
I don’t much like the warmth
While outside now the air is hot
I myself am not

The spring brings warmth and happiness
Sadly, this assumption’s bold
In truth, I just feel better
When the air outside is cold.
